GLASS reinforcement:
Typical operating temperatures: -60°C to +330°C
We source a specially woven Glass Fibre fabric,
which we use to reinforce our high temperature silicone hoses.
This type of material is specially engineered for Extreme use.
Mainly used on F1 racing, or industrial use where working temperatures
exceed standard silicone hoses with polyester reinforcement,
of even the high temperature Nomex® fabric.
Glass fibre fabric, combined with our special Hi-Temperature grade silicone compound,
allows working temperatures up to +330°C with is very high indeed !
This material also offers excellent fire resistance, will not melt,
drip or support combustion in air.
Under the Hood, it also delivers outstanding resistance to high temperature applications
such as those feeding hot air to inlet manifolds or allows connections straight onto a manifold if required.
