What's so different about a Viper Performance Hose?

Quality and great value is paramount to us.
The latest & best European Silicones are used to make Viper Performance Silicone hoses,
we follow closely new developments in the industry and test new compounds.
We use purpose made High quality Polyester fabric or Nomex (aramid) reinforcements
which will give the hose flexibility and high burst resistance.
Our fabric reinforcements are embedded into the Silicone and applied by hand.
All viper hoses are individually hand built, this allows our hose builders to check the hose
and irradiate any air traps during build and make the perfect hose.
Viper Performance make the toughest silicone hoses on the market.
Many other brands and imported hoses use Low cost, low quality general purpose
silicones hoses are usually made with very cheap silicone grades
and contain a large quantity of fillers.
(Fillers dilute and cheapen the silicone content and are very common in low cost budget
hoses to bring the cost of materials down,
fillers are a cheap alternative but do NOT give the hose any good
mechanical strengths or long life expectancy, hoses with fillers feel stiff,
don't bend much and life expectancy and performance is greatly reduced.)
Hoses diluted with fillers will be far less reliable in the long run which is common practice
with hoses made in the Far East or Asia to cut cost.
Most low cost brands use a lot of fillers, less reinforcement plies use no liners,
use cheap pigments, and often make shorter hoses than standard.
Half of the material is half a hose, half the performance, Half the life expectancy!.
which is how you get a cheaper hose !
Why compromise ?
You spend time, effort and money on your project,
make sure you choose the right hose, why risk blowing a hose
to save a couple of pounds, and risk turbo or engine damage ?

A good quality Silicone Hose will be much better than a rubber hose,
a cheap quality silicone hose unlikely to offer any improvement
over an EPDM rubber hose, other than having a coloured hose!
Don't be fooled by claims of sellers on some Auction sites
selling Blue hoses as Silicone

How does a Viper Performance hose perform?

Most of our silicone hoses have been pressure tested when designed.
This is done to withstand maximum pressures allowed by the material. (see technical data section)

Are the hoses stiff or soft?

Very soft hoses are usually a sign of insufficient number of reinforcement plies
which will easily "suck in" under boost or distort.
Very hard silicone hoses with only a few plies are usually a sign of heavy use of fillers to harden the silicone
Our performance hoses are strong (but not rigid) due to the quality of materials
and high number of reinforcements plies.

How do I keep my silicone hoses clean?

Wash the silicone hose with warm soapy water,
or for quick show and shine wipe the hose down with baby wipes.

Can I shrink or stretch the diameters if I buy the wrong sizer?

You need to buy the hose as close as possible to the size needed.
Silicone hoses will only “stretch” in diameter by about 1mm, or at most 2mm for very large diameter hoses.
Silicone hoses will not compress, so never buy a silicone hose which is too big in diameter.

How can I trim the hose ?

Simply tighten a good hose clamp where you need to trim,
and cut around the rim of the clip with a sharp "Stanley" knife.

Can you put our own logo on the hose?

Yes we can !
The cost of setting up artwork and obtaining silicone transfers may be uneconomical for small orders.
Your own logos can be arranged and inserted on your silicone hoses for larger orders.
It is not possible to add logos once the hose is made.

Can you make a custom silicone hose for me?

Can you make a custom colour for me?

Yes we can !
We have made limited edition silicone hoses in wacky colours for special projects,
We can match most colours to your requirements.
There is a lot of work involved, it is uneconomical for small orders, you need to budget from £500 for customised one off colours.

How does Viper Performance compare to other brands?

Yes! , our postage rates are calculated depending on the total weight
of your order and destination.

Visits to Viper Performance sales office are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
You can order Viper Performance silicone hoses via our online store.
We also supply directly to trade, and OEM via our online store also.
