By doing this &#8211; you increase the power of the internal-combustion engine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>How does air intake work?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The mechanics of the cold air intake follows one very simple physical principal &#8211; the cold air has a higher density for a given volume. The combustion requires oxygen and the more air you give into the combustion process the more power you will get from it. <\/span>Cold\u00a0air intakes\u00a0move the\u00a0air\u00a0filter outside of the engine compartment so that cooler\u00a0air\u00a0can be sucked into the engine for combustion. Cooler\u00a0air\u00a0brings more oxygen (denser\u00a0air) into the combustion chamber and that means more power.<\/p>\n<h2>Components in a cold air intake<\/h2>\n<p>The components needed for air intakes are quite simple. These are perfect for clamping silicone hoses thanks to the &#8220;slot free&#8221; smooth band, unlike some other brands, these clamps are not going to tear and cut into the hose as you tighten.
