Addressing nickel concerns and the challenges of scaling lithium-ion production as the reason for the change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iron-Cathode (LFP batteries) offer many benefits compared to the standard car range batteries:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LFP offers a longer life cycle, in some cases it can be 10,000+ cycles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are cobalt and nickel free meaning that they are non-toxic<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not only non-toxic they are a much safer battery which are less prone to explosion or fires from misuse or structural damage.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lower internal resistance.
