J Style Hoses Prove Popular

When you’re building a coolant or radiator system, this hose shape is ideal. The generous length of the hose can easily be cut down to suit your desired length. This one piece hose removes the need for connectors that would normally be required to create the ‘J’ shape.

This special shape is perfect for a variety of custom applications. Small diameter hoses are quite flexible, this offering some good tolerances on the angles, and orientation. As the ‘J’ bend removes the need to purchase the variety of components you would ordinarily need to create the same shape, it is an extremely cost effective option.

Top Quality Bellow Hoses

bellow hosesOur bellow hoses are specially built with NOMEX that can withstand a maximum working temperature of 220°C. They are ideal for use in areas that are subject to engine vibration or severe engine movement, which may cause other hoses to stress and split. Available with either a twin (TurboLoader Hoses) or quadruple (Articulated hoses) centre hump, convulsions act as bellows and offer flexibility and vibration absorption once mounted. We recommend these hoses to connect your charge cooler/intercooler etc to pipework.

We use 3 or 5 steel rings on the hoses, depending on the length, to prevent “ballooning” under boost or pressure. This enables the hose to keep its shape and integrity in any condition. This product is only available in black and is high quality and high specification.

As of Autumn 2017 we will be launching new sizes for these hoses. Our Turbo Loader hoses will be available in 114mm ID. The new sizes for our articulated hoses will be 70, 89 and 102mm hoses.

Crimp Style Fittings for 200 Series Hoses

crimp style fittings Our crimp style fittings are specially suited for NBR (nitrile) braided hoses. These crimp style fittings work with 200 series hoses from most brands. Our hose fitting tool makes them easy to fit. Made from high quality, lightweight aluminium, these fittings are available in classic blue and red colourway, or our new high gloss piano black finish.

All of our fittings are CNC machined to absolute precision, giving an unrivaled level of quality. Our fittings are usually in stock, ready for 24-48hr delivery. The fittings are sold in AN-(dash) sizes from -06 to -12 sizes. We purposefully offer a variety of angles for these crimp style fittings to give you freedom and flexibility with your hose.

Our aluminium weld on bosses are an excellent accessory for any aluminium pipe that you wish to modify. The broad flat seat of our aluminium bosses allow for a clean, tidy and easy weld. Specially designed, CNC machined and with a polished finish, these bosses are of the highest quality.

We offer bosses in number of outer diameters and usually have them in stock, ready for fast delivery. Aluminium bosses are ideal for adding a breather onto a pipe. We have available barbed, male AN threaded and female BSP threaded weld-on bosses to suit a variety of needs and applications. How Does a Viper Performance Hose Perform?

There are many hoses on the market, all varying in price and quality. Viper Performance is known in the industry for making the best possible quality hoses. This is due to our choice of materials; build specification and the skills of our hose builders.

Most of our silicone hoses have been pressure tested when designed. This is done to withstand maximum pressures allowed by the material. You can see the technical data on our website. All our hoses are built to SAE J20 R1 specification.

All of our hoses have an inner liner for added protection, with 3 to 6 ply’s of reinforcement, depending on the hose diameter. When needed, our hoses can be further reinforced with a wire spiral. Choosing the Right Hose

When building your fuel system, it is important that you specify which type of braided hose you require, as not all braided hoses are the same. Braided fuel compatible hoses are fantastic for building a professional fuel system to connect your fuel pumps, pressure regulators, fuel tanks, carborators and more.

Here at Viper Performance we offer a wide variety of braided hoses, such as their quality stainless steel double outer braid hose. Whether you’re using a nitrile or PTFE hose, the material inside a hose is important and both types have their advantages and disadvantages.

Nitrile Hoses – Advantages

  • Offer good resistance to oil and fuel
  • Has a better bend radius than PTFE hoses.

PTFE Hoses – Advantages

  • Can be used when running hoses inside the car.
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to assemble
  • Will not smell of fuel vapour.
  • Generally can be slightly cheaper

Choosing the Right Exhaust Wrap

Our exhaust wraps are available in three colours (black, natural, titanium) with two material options. All our rolls are 50ft (15meters) in length, and can be either 1” or 2” in width. The wraps are made from a high quality, tightly woven material ideal for wrapping exhaust pipes and manifolds. By using one of our exhaust wraps you are able to protect areas such as wires, electrics, hoses etc from exhaust heat.

Which exhaust wrap to use;

Black: Fibre Glass for up to 550 oC

Natural: Fibre Glass for up to 550 oC

Titanium fibre for very high temperatures rated up to a staggering 700 oC!

 Each roll of Viper exhaust wrap comes with 5 stainless steel ties for free!

Hardline Tube End Fitting Demonstration

Here at Viper Performance, we have a range of end fittings, specifically designed for hardline tubing. These are ideal for racing fuel systems and industrial applications, and also where the fittings need to have an AN style thread. Our hardline tube end fittings are beautifully made and are specifically designed to match our aluminium hardline tubes. These fittings will not work with any other type of hose.

Compared to the crimp on style fittings, these fittings do not require any specialist tools and can easily be done with just a nylon vice jaw and aluminium spanners, which are all available from Viper Performance. Most importantly, the quality of the thread is flawless machine Billet 6063 aluminium and hard anodised. The fittings are smooth inside for good fuel flow and fluid transfer. Inside the fitting is a brass olive insert which slides over the hardline.

Currently, we offer a range of sizes such as AN- 6, AN-8 and AN-10. Our fittings are able in the traditional red/blue colours as well as beautiful polished piano black finish

Options for custom silicone hoses

Here at Viper Performance we are able create custom silicone hoses. There are two methods for doing this, producing new tooling or modifying existing tool.

Custom Multiform hoses using new tooling

In order to produce a new hose shape it is essential to have forming tools, this is what moulds the silicone sheets into a hose. We then make a prototype silicone hose for your approval.

In order to produce a hose we will need to see 3d drawing or an original rubber hose. We cannot quote from a sketch, verbal description or photograph.

Modifying existing tool stock

Sometimes it is possible to modify existing tooling without the need to produce a new tool. In this case we can send an existing tool to our tool maker to adapt. This can save you money when compared to creating a new mandrel bend.
